Hi! I’m Julie Kyle, a Certified EMDR Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and EMDR Institute Training Facilitator. I am also a Therapist for Therapists and founder and owner of The Chicago EMDR Center. We offer this high quality, highly effective form of advanced psychotherapy in Chicago and throughout Illinois via telehealth. While EMDR Therapy is highly effective treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and processing traumatic events, we also use EMDR Therapy in a holistic way to break through limiting beliefs and to help you live your best life. We’ll transform “bad” experiences into post-traumatic growth with EMDR. I also love to mentor both new and seasoned EMDR Therapists to learn, grow, and become even more effective EMDR Therapists through EMDR Consultation. Let’s connect and discover what’s possible!

Julie is an EMDRIA-certified EMDR Therapist, a Therapist for Therapists, and the founder of EMDR Chicago. She practices holistic EMDR psychotherapy that promotes mind, body, and spirit health to create total wellness and wellbeing. Julie helps clients transform bad experiences, doubt, and fear into joy, growth and connection. She knows you’re not broken and is thrilled when her clients triumph and live their best lives. She loves to work with clients who have been to therapy before and are looking for deeper, lasting work, as well as providing therapy to therapists.

Julie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, California and Illinois) and a Registered Continuing Education Sponsor for Social Workers in Illinois. She also is an EMDR Training Facilitator with the EMDR Institute, the EMDR Training organization created by Dr. Francine Shapiro. Julie received her Master’s Degree at the School of  Social Work at the University of Michigan and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Julie has advanced clinical specialties in multiple modalities for adults and couples, including her greatest clinical passion: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy which is effective for the treatment of trauma and releasing negative beliefs, which may be causing current problems. Julie works with clients to gain increased self-awareness, mindfulness, and joy in life and relationships.

When outside the office, Julie loves traveling, biking, and being in nature with her husband and two children. She also enjoys horseback riding (English Hunter Jumper Equitation).
